RETURN OF THE KING

The man named Jimmy Jump is barmy......not because of the fact that he is a streaker,an interloper at sports events both at Spain and abroad.....not because of his weird garb of a mix of a Swiss flag and a Barcelona football team flag and a strange cap........but because he seemed to be the only person on earth genuinely determined to ruin one of sports greatest moments......

The surprise finalist Robin Soderling and the the weather did try its best though.....and the lunatic may have left him a bit distracted...but Federer didn't show it.....just tried to shy away from the intruder when anyone else in the position may have just clocked him......

But the simple fact was that nothing was going to stop Federer that day from going back to where he belonged....to being the best tennis player in history and one of the best athletes of all times....

Allright....Everyone marvels at Tiger Woods's technique and perfection, the speed and athleticism of Usain Bolt....and the honours they both have won.....but it is simply unbeleivable and mindblowing the way Federer seems to combine the supreme qualities of both these players.......twice he had to fight back from near defeats during the earlier rounds......and in a mordern era where tennis is defined more by power he proves that grace and subtelty can prove telling too.......

Nobody has ever managed to ever dominate and play any sport with such so much aesthetic beauty and grace as Federer has done with tennis......and time an time again he produces moments of magic on court often inventing new shots along the way nobody has ever seen or heard of......such that now these moments have been called the 'Federer moments' .......viewers and sports journalists often hav trouble finding words to descibe the beauty and style of his game......not to mention his attitude and the aura he carries around with him.....

What made the French open even more special was the that everyone loves a comeback.........a bout of mononucleosis and food poisoning affected his game a little and had reduced his dominance....along withe emergence of the phenomenal talents that were Nadal and Murray.....people were soon complaining about him losing his grip on things.....it could hardly be more contrasting.........

After the match,Federer was down on his knees and the emotions were let out..he was still crying as the Swiss anthem was played during the ceremony and one was reminded of the Australian open earlier this year when the tears had come out for an altogether different reason....

But the ultimate fact is that Roger seems to be back.......revived and rejuvenated....

His rival's nightmares may have already started but the spectator's treat has just begun.....
